Luke 12:10 – The UNFORGIVABLE Sin – 0077B

Rev. Cyril A. Stevens – Sermon 0077B recorded on August 5, 1979 teaching from Luke 12:10 – The Unforgivable Sin.

Pastor Cyril A. Stevens clarifies the “unforgivable sin” as presented in Luke 12:10, emphasizing that it is not specific acts like lying, swearing, drunkenness, sexual sin, stealing, or even murder, all of which God is willing to forgive. Instead, the true unforgivable sin is the persistent, willful rejection of the Holy Spirit’s testimony regarding Jesus Christ as the world’s Savior. This rejection manifests in refusing the Spirit’s promptings, failing to humble oneself before God, continually resisting the call to salvation, neglecting God’s grace, and hardening one’s heart against divine truth. Ultimately, the unforgivable sin lies in the conscious refusal to receive the forgiveness freely offered by God through Jesus, despite the Holy Spirit’s persistent efforts to reveal it.
